There’s no question, and in fact plain to see, that gorgeous model Monika Balan gets her stunning good looks from the Italian lifestyle and Mediterranean sun and sea, however like our Covergirl Cora, Monika was also born in Romania and migrated to Italy to be closer to modelling, fashion and the lifestyle that breeds opportunity for models. As a young girl, Monika has fond memories of a happy childhood in a happy family in Romania. She’ll quite humbly and simply say .. “I grew up in a happy family in Romania”, and leave it at that. Knowing Monika though, we learn that she is someone with ambition and drive to achieve her goals. So although she was quite happy and loved in a good family, she grew up to yearn for the life of a model in a land that was synonymous with glamour and fashion - ITALY! After travelling most of Europe, Monika settled in the ancient town of Montecatini Terme, which is in the province of beautiful Tuscany. Home to natural spa baths and natural pools, the area is a beautiful part of North Western Italy flanked by the glamour and fashion cities of Milan further North, Florence to the South and cooled by the waters of the Ligurian Sea further Wast. “I love where I live in Montecatini Terme in Italy”, she says, “ But if I had to choose, I would love to also live in California!” Showing her ambition for more travel and modelling opportunities, Monika explains; “I live in a very hot country compared to Romania, and I love the quite pleasant climate”, she says.
